Work 2 Home (W2H) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young adults transitioning out of the foster care system. W2H equips participants with the education, training, and support they need to build self- sufficiency—connecting stability at work with stability at home.

Our programs follow a comprehensive workforce development model designed to meet the unique needs of young people aging out of the foster care system and those facing housing instability. To combat these challenges, W2H integrates technical skills training with essential wraparound services, addressing not just employment barriers but the root causes of housing insecurity. W2H’s dedicated staff bring deep experience from across the nonprofit, for- profit, and public sectors—creating a network of support that helps youth successfully transition from surviving to thriving.

Our Story

Work To Home (W2H) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2021 by Tracy McCullom, founder and CEO of The Nolan Group. After two decades of successfully delivering workforce development and job training programs for government agencies, Tracy saw firsthand how many youth and young adults—particularly in historically excluded and underserved communities—continued to face barriers to opportunity. With a deep sense of compassion and commitment to service, Tracy began volunteering with local nonprofits to support youth in need. It was during one of these events that she met a young woman who shared she was facing homelessness after aging out of foster care. That powerful encounter sparked the vision for Work2Home: a mission-driven organization focused on breaking the cycle of youth poverty and housing insecurity through education, workforce development, and wraparound support. Since its founding, Tracy has brought her passion and leadership to W2H, drawing from her experiences as a mentor, trainer, and volunteer with organizations including Charlotte Life Connections, Charlotte Urban Sauce Connection, Talented Girls In Action, and the Baltimore Community Action Network. Her work continues to inspire a future where every young adult has the resources and support to thrive—from work to home.
