Brief info
Rodney Carr is the founder and Executive Director of the iCARRe Foundation and co-owner of Minuteman Press. Mr. Carr entered the United States Army in November of 1990 serving as a Specialist E-4 in the Army and the Gulf War. After being honorably discharged in 1993, he began to work in the telecommunications industry for 24 years.
In 2014, Mr. Carr founded the iCARRe Foundation, with the goal of providing Mentoring in the Baltimore Metro Area. After witnessing a great need, iCARRe Foundation expanded, and in 2017 “Collaborative Healing” was launched to provide Behavioral Health and Transitional Housing components that include services to families. In 2019 Mr. Carr launched the “B.U.I.L.D Project” to provide Construction Training for ages 17-28. iCARRe Foundation opened its “Resource Center” and Healthy Food Store in the Fall of 2020. In 2020 Rodney Carr joined Kioba Bros (a group of 30 Black Men who develop homes for families in the Baltimore Metro area.
Rodney Carr is a board member of the Matthew Henson Neighborhood Association and the Community Development Corporation. He is an active and proud leader of Black Professional Men Community Initiatives and an ordained Deacon at New Kingdom Faith Christian Church.
